Introduction to the China Tuberculosis Clinical Trial Consortium (CTCTC)
Established in September 2013, the China Tuberculosis Clinical Trial Consortium (CTCTC) is a collaborative research platform under the Innovation Alliance on Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment (Beijing) (hereinafter referred to as the "Innovation Alliance"). It is voluntarily composed of medical institutions accredited by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to have qualified for the GCP standards to carry out new drug Clinical Trials in TB. As of May 2026, CTCTC has 34 member institutions in total.
Mission: To build an internationally advanced tuberculosis clinical trial network platform, conduct high-standard clinical research in the fields of tuberculosis treatment, diagnosis and vaccines that complies with international ethical standards and delivers cutting-edge scientific value, and provide evidence-based support for ending the tuberculosis epidemic.
Activities: Over the decade since its establishment, CTCTC has given full play to its platform integration advantages and mobilized resources from international partners and panels of both domestic and international experts to carry out extensive activities in clinical research capacity building, international exchanges and cooperation. It has organized and supported member institutions in conducting a number of high-quality, nationwide multi-center clinical studies. Its flagship initiatives including the CTCTC Young Investigator Clinical Research Elite Training Program, the CTCTC Young Investigator Research Fund Program, and the Sino-UK Training Program on Tuberculosis Clinical Research Methodology and Practice have become influential brand programs of the Alliance.
